Stained Glass Workshops

Stained Glass online Zoom Workshops and Studio equipment rental

Stained Glass online Zoom Workshops, $100

In these online classes we will cover all of the skills and techniques to build a unique piece of stained glass art. During the two, two hour online Zoom workshops we will learn the art of cutting, grinding, copper foiling and soldering and then we will finish our pieces by attaching hangers and a chain. This is a perfect class for students with no experience as well as intermediate students with some experience who may want a refresher course. All levels are welcome.

Before the class you will be invited to Dragonfly Stained Glass Studio to look through pattern books and choose your pattern and the glass that you want to use. If you have your own equipment you are ready to take the online class. If you don’t, there is an option to rent a stained glass studio kit which includes over $800 worth of materials, tools and supplies. Everything you will need to set up your own stained glass studio and complete stained glass projects in the safety of your own home. (See Stained Glass Studio Kit rental for the week corresponding to your class). To keep us all safe, masks will be required, temperatures will be taken and hand sanitizer applied before entering the studio.

Most students can finish a stained glass piece with 8 or less pieces of glass in about 4 hours. Students who choose designs that take longer than 4 hours to complete can work on their own after each workshop. Additional 1:1 instruction may be available at a rate of $12.50 per 15 minutes.

Enough glass and supplies to finish a sun catcher smaller than 8.5” X 11” are included in the tuition. If you’d like to do a larger piece, additional glass can be purchased and an additional charge for solder and other supplies will be charged.

Tuition for the Two, 2 hour Stained Glass online Zoom workshops: $100. (Larger works will require students to purchase glass and supplies).
