General Policies

Dragonfly Stained Glass Studio takes student safety very seriously. Working with glass necessitates the use of cutting and grinding tools, whether hand or machine, and soldering irons, which by their nature create the risk of physical injury. A central concern of the staff at Dragonfly Stained Glass Studio is to minimize the chances of such injury during our classes by teaching safe work habits and providing safe equipment in the studio. Despite these precautions, some degree of risk remains for anyone practicing in the art of stained glass. For this reason, we ask that all students carry personal health insurance. Before beginning a class or open studio time students must read and sign the Release of Liability form. Please click on the Release of Liability link below, print a copy, sign it and bring it to class along with proof of health insurance.

In order to promote the studio online and in print, we will occasionally take photos or video of our students at work and/or with their projects. The media is occasionally invited to do the same for news articles and features. We would like your permission to use your name and photo/video if the opportunity arises. Please click on the Photo/Video Release Form below, print a copy, mark you preference to give permission or to not give permission for us to use photos and/or video of you in our advertising. Then sign the form and bring it to your class.

Cancellation Policies

In case of Winter weather classes will be canceled if the Easthampton Public Schools are canceled. If the class is held on a weekend, classes will be canceled if a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect. Students will be emailed or called if possible when a class must be canceled.

In the event that a class is canceled by Dragonfly Stained Glass Studio for weather or other reasons, a full refund of your tuition will be rewarded or you may choose to register for a future class that has available space.

Students who cancel their registration for a class 7 days before the class takes place may transfer their tuition to a future class provided that class has available space.

Students who cancel less than 7 days prior to a class takes place may transfer their tuition to a future class provided that class has available space but will be charged an additional 50% of the original tuition.

Students who fail to cancel their registration prior to class and who do not attend the class will receive no refund or transference of tuition.

Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. Once a class has filled, applicant’s names will be placed on a waiting list in the order they are received and notified by email or phone call only in the case of a class opening. Again, these opening are filled on a first come, first served basis so messages and email of the opening may be filled by the time the student replies so we suggest you reply as soon as possible to secure your spot in the class.

What to wear and what to bring

It is recommended that students wear closed shoes, (no sandals or flip flops please). Long hair should be tied back. We recommend wearing comfortable older clothes and/or an apron in case of stains.

Thank you and happy creating!
